Global Warming Research Project

Purpose: This project is designed to have you exam the media you view daily in a more critical manner. This will allow you to make more informed decisions in your daily life.

Project Procedure:

• Select a partner in the class (Groups of two only).
• Choose one topic from your list of technologies and sciences that you complied from the movie.
• Contact Mr. Aellig for topic approval.
• At home and in the library you are to research the topic you chose. You will then take this information and compare and contrast it against how it was used in the movie The Day After Tomorrow.
• Three sources from www.npr.org, http://www.sciencedaily.com/, http://www.nationalgeographic.com/. at any of these sites contact Mr. Aellig after throughly searching them.
• Two other sources, print or online.
• Wikipedia can be used to help you find keywords that you use to find other reference sources.
• You MUST USE two websites in addition to any online encyclopedia article you might have used.
• All in-text references MUST BE in MLA format.
• All worked cited page MUST BE in MLA format.
